1. Contest Organizer

The District 23 Instrument Giveaway (the “Contest”) is organized and administered by Bring The Noise Music Academy (“BTN”), located at 1-1415 Hunter Court, Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

This Contest is independently organized by BTN and is not sponsored, administered, or endorsed by Central Okanagan Public Schools (School District 23).

2. Contest Period

The Contest begins on Oct 1st, 2026 and ends on Nov 15th at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (the “Contest Period”).

Entries received outside the Contest Period will not be eligible.

3. Eligibility

The Contest is open to individuals who:

  • Are legal residents of British Columbia.

  • Are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry.

  • Are parents or legal guardians of a child enrolled in a School District 23 school during the Contest Period.

  • Meet all requirements outlined in these Official Rules.

Children under 19 may not enter independently. A parent or legal guardian must submit the entry.

4. How to Enter

There are two methods of entry.

Option A — Discovery Month Registration

During the Contest Period, an eligible parent or guardian may register a child for BTN's $97 Discovery Month program.

The program includes four music lessons, subject to scheduling and availability.

A completed, eligible registration will receive one entry into the Contest.

Option B — Free Entry (No Purchase Necessary)

To enter without purchasing music lessons, eligible participants may submit a free entry through [FREE ENTRY FORM LINK].

The free entry form will request the participant's name, email address, confirmation of eligibility, and agreement to the Official Rules.

Free entries have the same chance of winning as entries received through Discovery Month registration.

Limit: One entry per parent or guardian during the Contest Period, regardless of entry method.

Multiple registrations or purchases do not increase the chances of winning.

5. Prize Description

There is one (1) grand prize available.

The selected winner will receive:

One musical instrument of their choice, up to a maximum retail value of $500 CAD, including applicable taxes.

Eligible instrument categories may include drums, guitars, keyboards, or other musical instruments approved by BTN.

Prize conditions:

  • The maximum total prize value is $500 CAD.

  • The instrument must be purchased through a retailer approved by BTN.

  • Any cost exceeding $500 CAD is the winner's responsibility, if an upgrade is permitted.

  • Unused prize value will not be paid out in cash or credit.

  • The prize is not redeemable for cash.

  • The prize cannot be transferred or sold through BTN.

  • BTN may substitute an unavailable instrument with an equivalent option, subject to the advertised prize value.

  • Shipping or collection arrangements will be confirmed with the winner.

6. Winner Selection

One potential winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

The draw will take place on NOV 20th in Kelowna, British Columbia.

All eligible entries will have an equal chance of selection.

7. Winner Notification

The potential winner will be contacted using the email address or telephone number provided during entry.

The potential winner must respond within five (5) business days of the first notification.

If the selected entrant cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required period, is found ineligible, or does not satisfy the prize-claim requirements, BTN may select another potential winner by random draw.

9. Prize Collection

The confirmed winner will coordinate with BTN to select and receive the musical instrument.

BTN will make reasonable efforts to arrange prize delivery or collection within 30 days of winner confirmation, subject to instrument availability.

The winner may be required to provide identification and proof of eligibility.

No fee or additional purchase is required to claim the advertised prize.

10. Discovery Month Program

The $97 Discovery Month is a separate music lesson promotion offered by BTN.

The program includes four music lessons, subject to instructor availability, scheduling, and applicable enrollment policies.

Participation in Discovery Month does not guarantee winning the Contest.

Purchasing lessons does not increase the odds of winning compared with entering through the free entry method.

  • Incomplete, inaccurate, fraudulent, or submitted outside the Contest Period.
